Accumulo featured in IEEE HPEC talks

Our friends at MIT Lincoln Labs published a couple of papers in the IEEE HPEC conference featuring systems that use Accumulo. These papers really show off the performance, scalability, and versatility of Accumulo used in some neat applications:

Chansup Byun et. al. discuss achieving 4 million writes per second on an 8 node cluster in D4M with Accumulo in Driving Big Data With Big Compute. Slides can be found here.

Matthew Hubbell and Jeremy Kepner discuss visualizing networks in real time using 3D game technology, with Accumulo as the database supporting this environment, in Large Scale Network Situational Awareness Via 3D Gaming Technology.
